Extreme Copy Pro is a practical tool which intends to help you transfer files faster than the default Windows copy tool. It is designed to improve your efficiency when you are dealing with frequent copy and move operations.You can use the context menu to launch the main window of the application in order to select the items that you need to copy and the destination. The dialog also allows you to filter the files that you need to copy by using wildcards.The advanced settings enables you to change the behavior of the application when it needs to overwrite a file or it encounters an error. You can configure the program to confirm the action or to perform a preset action if certain criteria are met.If you need to perform a file transfer more than once, the task parameters can easily be saved and loaded later. This option combined with the ability to configure the file replacement criteria allows you to use the app as a folder synchronization tool.The interface is simple and easy to use as all the parameters are clear and can be accessed from a single window.
It also includes a detailed documentation which explains its usage and configuration.However, the speed improvements are not quite as obvious as they are supposed to. During our tests, the speed and time were similar or very close to the normal paste operations. A slight improvement can be noticed but far from the advertised value. Extreme Copy Pro allows you to improve the file transfer speed and is seamlessly integrated in the Windows interface.
